Engineering Laboratory Technician

Overview

Perform material testing on construction samples per ASTM, AASHTO, ISO standards.

Tasks

-Adhere to all safety protocols by wearing necessary safety gear while performing tests. -Conduct visual inspections to assess the quality of materials and workmanship. -Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports. -Accurately document test results and ensure that worksheets are filled adequately during testing. -Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations. -Conduct assigned laboratory tests on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, and metals etc. according to the standard test methods and report results. -Use only calibrated equipment for testing purposes, where necessary, to ensure accuracy and compliance. -Conduct tests for internal quality control samples and proficiency test samples, and report findings to the Unit Head.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals with good knowledge in material testing according to the standard test methods such as ASTM, AASHTO, BS, ISO etc. to join our Material Laboratory team. Qualifications - Candidates holding Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering are preferred. About the Role - The 'Material Laboratory Technician' will be responsible to perform laboratory tests in accordance with the assigned standard test methods and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. This role requires technical knowledge of materials testing methods, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
