The Role

Overview

Perform janitorial and maintenance tasks per schedule and safety guidelines.

Tasks

-Lifting and carrying multiple large bags of trash to dumpster -Bending to empty and re-line trash receptacles -Lifting mop bucket with water and cleaner inside -Clean microwaves and coffee bars -Sweeping with dust mops -Working with industrial strength chemicals -Cleaning counter tops and tables -Pushing/Pulling Janitorial cart -Moving of chairs and tables -Loading and unloading into buses and company vans. -Bending to get supplies from cabinet under sinks. -Lifting items 50 lbs or less -Cleaning smoking areas as requested by building managers. -Vacuuming large, carpeted areas -Cleaning windows and glass surfaces -Cleaning of Laboratory areas (potential exposure to other chemicals) -Dusting and cleaning water coolers -Lifting boxes of supplies (i.e. Toilet paper, paper towels) -Cleaning walls and doors. -Creating weekend schedules and managing a team of janitors -Sweeping and mopping large areas
