The Role

Overview

Design and oversee mechanical systems for coal & gas power plants in Mumbai.

Tasks

-Providing leadership, guidance, instruction, and mentorship to the team and less experienced staff members -Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients or outside stake holders -Functional coordination and reviews of detailed pipe routing for conformance with system design requirements including pipe support selection/placement -Coordinating project design assignments and design teams -Constructabilty reviews, Coordination with site if required -Close coordination with US team communicating project status and responsible for project quality, schedule, budget and cost -Coordinating across the disciplines -Participating in Internal/External project audits -Participation in model review and resolving clashes with other disciplines -Administer equipment contracts (change evaluation, coordinate schedules, coordinate technical issues)

What You Bring

-Software experience utilizing AFT Arrow, AFT Fathom, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Review, Navisworks is preferred. Aspen Hysys would be an added advantage. -Candidate with exposure system design incl. piping & instrumentaion diagrams, hydraulic analysis, control valve, pump selection, rotating equipment and process design -Experience in developing equipment specifications, technical bid evaluating, procuring, reviewing vendor drawings and factory acceptance testing of mechanical equipment. -Minimum 12-16 years of related experience with exposure to piping design, pump selection, rotating equipment and process design -Candidate with Field construction and commissioning experience will have added advantage. -Ability to handle power projects independently and capable of closely working with US team -Familiar with power industry codes and standards including ASME B31.1, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I and Section VIII. -Previous consulting engineering experience preferred. -Proficient in the English language and must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited program
