Tasks

-Lead commercial activities on site from pre-contract through to final account. -Prepare and submit interim valuations, CVRs, cost reports, and final accounts. -Manage subcontract procurement, negotiations, and relationships. -Monitor budgets, forecasts, and profitability; report to project leadership. -Administer contracts, manage variations, change control, and early warnings (NEC/JCT). -Attend site and client meetings, providing clear commercial advice. -Mentor and support junior QS staff where applicable. -Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal commercial procedures. -Work for a growing specialist contractor known for delivering complex civil engineering projects.

What You Bring

-Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. -5+ years' experience in a main or specialist contractor environment. -Proven experience on civil engineering packages (cut & carve, structural alteration, RC frame, soft strip). -Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts. -Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. -Confident managing client-facing responsibilities and leading QS activities.
