Building Maintenance Technician

Overview

Maintain building systems, handle HVAC, plumbing, repairs, and on-call emergencies.

Tasks

-Mounting TVs and equipment -Respond to emergency maintenance issues and support on-call HVAC technicians. -Perform general building maintenance including: -Room setup and support for meetings -Preventative maintenance on ice machines, and cleaning. -Assure restroom facilities are operational and repaired when needed. -Act as the go-to resource for facility-related requests from staff. -Monitor equipment and replace water filters on schedules. -Monitor and troubleshoot HVAC systems in coordination with contracted HVAC services. -Maintain a proactive approach to building upkeep and service delivery. -Assure snow and ice are clear as needed as a backup to the contracted snow removal team. -Serve as the primary technician on-site at the designated facility.

What You Bring

-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. -Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems (no certification required, but familiarity is essential). -Excellent communication and customer service skills. -Able to perform HVAC preventative maintenance on equipment -Basic landscaping knowledge and experience (ie: planting seasonal flowers; operate leaf blower on sidewalks/paths etc.). -This role requires on-call availability for emergencies, including nights and weekends. -Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus but not required. -Skilled in basic plumbing, and general handyman tasks. -Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
