Sheet Metal Shop Helper

Description

• The Sheet Metal Helper will assist the Sheet Metal Mechanic/Installer to sketch for fabrication, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal ducts.
• Responsible for working with fiberglass, plastics, and other nonmetallic materials.
• Assisting with carrying material, grinding, chipping and any other basic duties' the Journeymen Sheet Metal worker may need
• Measure and cut appropriate size of sheet metal, as well as install preassemble duct
• Use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials.

Requirements

• General knowledge of piping and controls, AC install, retrofit, fiberboard is a plus
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety
• Experience in commercial duct installation is a plus.
• Experience working with hand tools and power tools
