Tasks
-Implement and support AI-powered systems and tech-forward workflows for smarter financial operations. -Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory obligations across all corporate and client accounts. -Collaborate with the COO to drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. -Drive performance, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance department. -Maintain strong relationships with CPAs, auditors, and legal advisors. -Deliver actionable insight through modeling, performance analysis, and financial dashboards. -Manage full-cycle accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables. -Develop and implement SOPs and internal controls across all finance and accounting operations. -Leverage AppFolio, Excel, and other digital tools to drive automation and efficiency. -Provide timely financial updates and deliverables to investment clients and internal partners. -Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial statements for all properties and corporate entities. -Integrity & Inclusion (Equity for All): Leads with fairness, builds trust, and ensures that policies and processes reflect ethical, accessible, and inclusive standards. -Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and HR-related compliance processes. -Identify opportunities to innovate, streamline, and standardize accounting processes. -Build scalable financial systems and reporting tools that support company growth and accountability. -Lead, manage, and hold accountable a team of three: one Account Manager and two Accounting Assistants. -Oversee insurance coordination and risk management practices in collaboration with Operations.

What You Bring
-Full-cycle accounting experience across multiple entities or departments. -Continuous Improvement (Growth Mindset): Embraces learning, feedback, and change with a commitment to improving systems and empowering teams. -5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance with team leadership responsibilities. -7–10 years in finance leadership roles, ideally within the real estate or property management industry. -Tech-Savvy: Proficient in systems like AppFolio and QuickBooks with a desire to explore and implement AI-driven efficiencies and modern finance tools. -Present financial information clearly and effectively to executive leadership and department heads. -Familiarity with property management or real estate accounting standards. -Client-Focused Mindset (Customer First): Prioritizes transparency, communication, and reliability in both client-facing and internal operations. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. -Leadership & Accountability: Proven ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and drive high standards through effective communication and clear expectations. -Experience in payroll, benefits administration, and AP/AR oversight. -CPA or advanced certification strongly preferred. -Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and property management platforms (AppFolio preferred). -Strategic Financial Acumen: Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting that supports executive decision-making. -Hands-on experience with technology-driven automation or AI tools for accounting. -Are equally confident in team huddles and boardroom conversations. -Full-Cycle Accounting Expertise: Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls, ideally within property management. -Process-Oriented & Detail-Driven: Able to build SOPs, document workflows, and maintain compliance across a high volume of entities. -Experience managing complex legal and financial structures across 100+ entities. -Lead with transparency and a solution-oriented mindset.
