Tasks
-Manage Nonconformance by identifying and initiating containment actions, coordinating corrective measures, and verifying preventive actions to ensure timely resolution and recurrence prevention. -Maintain and manage Supplier Quality Management tools and databases to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accessibility. Typical supplier equipment includes MCC, switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, UPS, transformers, disconnect switches, heat exchangers, batteries & charging systems, cables, switchyard steel, bus duct, and piping. -Perform supplier oversight and product inspections during project execution to ensure compliance with specifications. Inspection types include visual, dimensional, weld, coating, traceability, quality records review, and Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT) such as transformer routine/type tests, MCC production/type tests, and other electrical equipment verifications. -Drive Supplier Development by evaluating performance, analyzing quality data, implementing improvement programs, conducting root cause analysis, and defining appropriate risk mitigation measures. -Support and lead multi-functional teams by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management systems/processes, and implementing Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on electrical parts in line with applicable process descriptions and standards. Includes planning, tracking, and reporting achievements, managing budget/resource needs, supporting supplier quality assurance, and approving processes via Manufacturing Quality Control Plans. -Coordinate Controlling and Reporting by generating regular supplier quality performance reports, supervising improvement actions, and assisting commodity strategic buyers with procurement strategies and project planning.

What You Bring
-Accomplished project leader experienced in managing virtual, multi-functional, international teams; recognized for strategic, analytical, and intercultural skills; willing to travel domestically/internationally up to 40%. -You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or higher in electrical engineering or a similar field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. -At least 10 years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or engineering in the Power Generation or Power Transmission Industry. Position Class can be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. -Strong technical background in HV, MV, and LV electrical systems/components, with extensive knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and UL standards. -Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers. -Proven expertise in supplier evaluation, qualification, technical development, and auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), ensuring a global, quality-assured, and efficient supply base; skilled in developing international suppliers, particularly in Global Value Sourcing countries.
