Tasks

-assessing development impacts and promoting sustainable transport related solutions -Commissioning traffic / pedestrian / cyclist surveys -Liaising with clients, architects, planners and Highway Authorities -Developing active travel, inclusive mobility and sustainable transport solutions -technical transportation related assessments to inform planning decisions. -Analysis of data and developing transport related solutions, including junction designs -promoting active travel and inclusive mobility in design proposals -planning and transport policy and highway design standards and guidance -Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans

What You Bring

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with an attention to detail. -use of traffic modelling software such as JUNCTIONS 9/10, LINSIG, TRANSYT, PARAMICS and VISSIM -MS Office skills -the principles of strategic transport modelling, -A minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant technical discipline (for example Transport Planning, Civil/Highway Engineering, Town Planning, Geography) -design, including AutoCAD and AutoTrack
