Overview

Create and manage CAD drawings, 3D models, and documentation for pipeline projects.

Tasks

-Prepare 3D models for use in AutoCAD ACC common data environment. -Working with permit drawings and city websites to understand the full scope of the drawing. -Liaises with designers and field staff to problem solve. -Conduct QC verification on drawings / designs -Maintain accurate survey and drawing records, documentation and submittals, and ability to follow BIM Management procedures. -Interpret and adhere to legislative, project and code requirements and client’s specifications (e.g. Ontario Standard Drawings) -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Tracking project hours and strategically staying within designated hours. -Completion of design drawings, quantity calculations and as-built drawings for projects within various work types using various software packages (e.g. AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Civil 3D) -Provide calculations and assist with day to day work flows to field staff -Collaborating with Designers to ensure accuracy of drawings.

What You Bring

-Experience working with government bodies and familiar with legislative requirements (e.g. Ministry of Transportation, city permit applications) -Motivates others and builds trust and confidence among team members -3 to 5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience -Experience with ACC -Ability to interpret field survey data, coordinate and communicate with field survey crews -Strong attention to detail -Post-secondary education in Civil / Mechanical Engineering, Geomatics or design field, Architectural or equivalent experience -CET certified or CET eligible is an asset -Ability to create 3D Models using CAD software. -Able to work with and communicate to internal stakeholders (e.g. project management/operations teams) -Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment -Strong proficiency with AutoCAD software and experience customizing AutoCAD, scripts, tools and Menu’s -Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
