The Role

Overview

Perform avionics inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft per FAA/JAA regulations.

Tasks

-Perform other tasks, for example, cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, load and secure ballast and/or freight as required -Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locations -Perform inspection, make adjustment and repair, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft -Adhere to General Work Requirements -Document work performed per Inspections Procedures Manual (IPM) -Assist with engine removal and installation -Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations -Work on aircraft as well as in shops -Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks -Coordinate with technical representatives, lab, and other personnel in resolving systems or component problems -Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges -Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering specifications -Assist in development of installations for engineering -Assist with fueling/defueling aircraft as required -Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations

What You Bring

-Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, if applicable. -A Certification required if mandated by the customer (Commercial Aircraft); A Certification, P Certification, or A&P Certificate also acceptable. -Must be able to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays. -Basic PC skills. -Own a basic set of hand tools and can demonstrate proper tool inventory and control. -Must be able to work outdoors in seasonal or inclement weather. -Background Check & DOT Drug Screen: This step involves conducting a comprehensive background check, which includes reviewing criminal history, and other relevant records. Additionally, a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening will be carried out to ensure compliance with federal regulations for safety-sensitive positions -Typically 3 years of avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience. -Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required. -Experience working on corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft. -Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting on individual or aircraft status. -Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings. -Hold a GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
