Plant Loader Operator

Operate asphalt plant equipment, manage materials, and perform maintenance.

Tasks

-Performs a variety of tasks assisting with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials -Operates plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins -Assists plant management with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance -Performs repairs as needed to plant equipment and performs preventative maintenance in order to keep the plant running -Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task -Assists plant management in ordering materials needed for plant operation -Operator loader to receive incoming raw materials and maintains inventory levels and stockpiles

-Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills -Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. -Willing to work hours that are associated with the asphalt industry, including overtime and weekends as needed -Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency -Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits -Perform well in a “TEAM” environment -Basic mathematical skills -Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen -High School Diploma or equivalent experience. -1-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment. Experience in the asphalt industry preferred.
