Tasks
-Ensure ongoing compliance through training initiatives and regular safety reviews. -Develop and regularly update emergency response and evacuation plans. -Prepare detailed incident reports, document violations, and track corrective actions. -Collaborate with operational teams to ensure a safe work environment and reduce employee exposure to hazards. -Lead safety workshops covering emergency procedures, PPE usage, and safe work practices. -This position may lead safety initiatives but does not have direct supervisory responsibility over staff. -Identify and mitigate risks associated with machinery, chemicals, and environmental hazards. -Conduct safety training sessions and awareness campaigns to educate employees on safety risks and best practices. -Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near misses. -Develop and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.). -Determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. -Organize emergency drills and training sessions to ensure readiness. -Collaborate with leadership and external safety experts to cultivate a safety-conscious culture. -Monitor availability, condition, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). -Perform internal audits and lead safety meetings to track progress and promote continuous improvement. -Track employee certifications and ensure timely renewals and compliance with training requirements. -Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments of workplaces.

What You Bring
-OSHA 10-hour certification or equivalent safety training. -Ability to work in high-pressure and emergency situations. -Strong working knowledge of safety programs, training techniques, and hazard management. -Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report and procedure writing. -Ability to travel up to 25%-30% of the time. -Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts when needed. -Ability to lift, drag, carry, and push equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs. -Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field. -Proven experience with health, safety, and environmental regulations at federal, state, and local levels. -Ability to operate office equipment, computers, and safety tools. -Strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). -Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization. -Correctable vision and hearing. -Ability to walk long distances within facilities or outdoor areas. -Ability to take ownership, prioritize tasks, manage workload independently, and deliver quality results. -Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move for long periods. -Ability to work in high-pressure environments and maintain collaborative, supportive relationships. -First Aid/CPR certification (First Responder training is a plus). -Note: Candidates selected for contingent offers must pass background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle record checks.
