Tasks
-Comply with purchasing policies/procedures, as well as legal/ethical obligations. -Administrate Purchase Orders and Vendor Master information in the ERP system. -Participate as an extended member of the Purchasing Commodity Team in regards to commodity strategy, minority business strategy, supplier consolidation, and cost savings. -Navigate legal issues involving Terms and Conditions, and identify issues that require professional legal assistance. -Support manufacturing operations and quality department with supplier issue resolution. -Identify and implement cost savings through spend analysis, supplier negotiations, business resourcing, and other purchasing methods. -Develop Sourcing Recommendations with supporting rationale and documentation.

What You Bring
-Ability to analyze complex data, identify and execute savings opportunities, implement sourcing strategies, and quickly execute tasks to realize benefits. -Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs. PC based software knowledge must include MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle and access or other SQL application is a plus. -3 years in the purchasing of commodities and services to support production and aftermarket requirements. -Ability to multi-task multiple categories & projects. Ability to coordinate strategies/activities across multiple business functions. -Degree in with a Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Materials, or Technical educational background. -Verbal and written skills - ability to communicate to all levels of management required. -Organized and capable of dealing with high volume of interactions with a broad cross-section of the company. -Financial & quantitative analysis experience a plus. Problem solving skills essential , -Able to effectively prioritize multiple priorities. -Good negotiation and problem solving skills. Adept at dealing with situations involving conflict, and able to facilitate constructive resolution. -CPM or CPSM
