Overview

Design and field power distribution projects for residential/commercial customers in SW Florida.

Tasks

-Ensure quality control and adherence to utility standards. -Drive to customer sites to document current conditions and assess needs. -Use design software packages like BOUD, Bentley Open Utility Designer, Smallworld, Maximo, and AutoCAD. -Perform engineering calculations and design work, such as new power runs, equipment relocation, lighting, overhead to underground conversion, and overhead lines relocation.

What You Bring

-Ability to use design software packages and general construction knowledge. -Familiarity with engineering research and design evaluation. -Ability to interact with diverse individuals from various backgrounds. -Ability to present recommendations effectively. -Good written and oral communication skills. -Experience with quality control processes. -Experience in the electric utility industry with knowledge of primary and secondary distribution systems. -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR 2-year Technical Degree related to electrical and/or power distribution, OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in Power Distribution or Telecom. -Understanding of basic engineering theories, principles, and practices.
