Overview

Create and modify electrical BIM/CAD models and shop drawings using Revit and related software.

Tasks

-Setup of Revit views and sheets in preparation for shop drawings -Utilize Bluebeam Revu software to markup PDF drawings and communicate with team members -Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation -Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties -Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or project websites (FTP, BIM360, etc.) -Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and/or verbal direction provided by electrical detailers -Check own work for accuracy before passing on to others

What You Bring

-Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades -Requires travel: Minimal (up to 10%) -Required to maintain a valid driver's license -Experience in creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry -Ability to receive and transmit documents on behalf of the design team -PTO accrual of up to 120 hours in a full year (subject to plan terms thereafter) -Ability to manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar Revit functions -A working knowledge of computer aided drafting and software applications at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in computer aided design and drafting or related field or equivalent experience; and -Fluency with all plotters, printers and reproduction systems used in house or on the job site -Fluency in the 2D and 3D space -Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player -2 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards -Fluency for importing documents, such as spread sheets, photos, images, and word processing files into Revit projects -Experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Trimble, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) -Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines -Experience in the construction industry preferred -Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position) -Ability to take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working shop drawings
