Tasks

-Collaborate with service coordinators on scheduling, job tracking, and client updates. -Mentor junior technicians and support the development of a scalable service team. -Perform advanced troubleshooting, service, and maintenance on boilers, hydronic systems, and mechanical infrastructure. -Maintain and enforce safety standards in compliance with state and federal guidelines. -Travel throughout California, with occasional out-of-state service assignments as needed. -Integrate and optimize control systems (BAS/BMS) to ensure system-level performance and efficiency. -Provide on-site diagnostics and technical support for complex HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Tiello is partnering with a highly respected HVAC solutions provider on their search for a Senior HVAC Service Technician to support key accounts across California and beyond. This is a critical hire for a seasoned technician who brings an understanding of boilers, package units, start-up processes and hydronic systems. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. -Trade school graduate or equivalent technical training preferred. -Strong working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS), including controls integration and system diagnostics. -High-level customer service and communication skills. -Open to candidates transitioning from a union role seeking leadership opportunity and greater ownership. -Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience - formally or informally. -Experience working with OEMs such as Trane, Carrier, Daikin, JCI, Siemens is highly preferred. -5+ years of experience servicing HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, and hydronics. -Willingness to travel throughout California and occasionally beyond. -EPA Universal Certification required.
