The Role

Overview

Install and service DC power & telecom equipment at customer sites.

Tasks

-Addition or removal of batteries -Adheres to the applicable customer, industry and manufacturers maintenance/installation methods and standards -Run, Test and Terminate Alarms -Addition or removal of circuits on working power distribution sources -Adheres to the installation methods and standards per Telcordia GR-1275-CORE and/or customers' installation standards -Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuits under supervision of a Level III or IV: -Lead verification and continuity testing -Performs the following work activities with supervision: -Addition or removal of common systems equipment and hardware -Adheres to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy -Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements -Adheres to all company and industry safety policies and procedures -Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions at various sites. -Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working equipment -Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Installation and Service Technician -Installation of common wireless equipment such as Fuse Panels, and other DC Power Equipment -Analysis of job specifications, drawings, and documentation

What You Bring

-Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening -Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment -Ability to obtain Class C Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material Endorsement -Excellent attendance record -VLA (Flooded) and VRLA Battery additions, removals and replacements -Demonstrates servant leadership principles with internal and external customers -Ability to maintain a valid driver's license -Demonstrates honesty and integrity in work and relationships -Demonstrates basic electrical knowledge experience -Secondary DC Power additions, removals and replacements -Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectives -Ability to work at various heights -Excellent communication and customer service skills -High school diploma -Ability to take direction, communication and supervision from Project Manager, Service Manager and upper levels of management -Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis -Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience or equivalent experience as determined by HMC management -Demonstrates innovation/creativity in work -Demonstrates proper use of material handling equipment
