Commissioning Engineer/Manager

Overview

Commission MV/HV equipment, ensuring compliance and safe connection to the ESB Grid.

Tasks

-Complete functional verification of protection scheme designs and confirm compliance with approved design standards, elementaries, specifications and the relevant Commissioning Standard. -Assessment of site safety prior to engaging in commissioning activities and coordinate the work schedule with site staff as appropriate. Liaise with the SHEQ Manageron all project SHEQ concerns. -Contribute to fault investigations and reporting. -Commission HV and MV equipment in line with the Commissioning Policy, specifications and the relevant Commissioning Standard. -Coordinate, plan, and deliver commissioning projects.

What You Bring

-3+ years experience in commissioning roles (or similar) -Formal H&S qualifications and training, i.e. ‘IOSH Managing Safely’ or similar. -Commission control and protection equipment in line with the Commissioning Policy, specifications and the relevant Commissioning Standard. -Knowledge of commissioning standards, principles and procedures for Transmission and Distribution systems and equipment. -Knowledge of ESB Networks Pre-Commissioning requirements. -Ability to motivate and encourage others whilst taking the lead. -Electrical trade or engineering qualification. -Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills -Sound knowledge of HV Substation design and processes.
