The Role

Overview

Supervises construction contracts, ensuring schedule, safety, quality, and team coordination.

Tasks

-Assists with the supervision, coordination and sequencing of contractor’s work to minimize interference between various contractors on the project -Assists with development of work scopes and front end documents for bidding to create clear and concise scopes of work -Assists with any commissioning activities -Oversees completion of punchlist process* -Enforces compliance with project schedule -Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsite, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field* -Assists with inspection process -Participates in contractor coordination meetings -Ensures project rules and procedures are maintained and checks progress and quality of work being performed* -Prepares detailed and timely daily reports with assistance. Incorporates/reviews subcontractor’s daily reports for issues, coordination and claim avoidance. -Assists with Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordination or BIM process -Observes and interfaces with contractors or trades to enforce responsibilities, monitor work performance and productivity, and coordinate project changes*

What You Bring

-Basic skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer -Basic knowledge of document control process, including processes related to drawing management, RFIs, submittals, issue tracking, punch list, commissioning & turnover. -Ability to effectively communicate with all members of the team including contractors, architects and owners.* -Basic knowledge of trade work that the company can self-perform and how to support its use on the project -Basic ability to navigate, read and verify project drawings, specifications and submittals, with an understanding of architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings* -Basic understanding of critical path method of scheduling and how to develop durations and sequencing from design development level drawings and beyond; ability to coordinate means and methods to expedite schedules and reduce costs* -3+ years' experience in the construction industry -Basic skills in Bluebeam, Prolog, Box, P6, Navisworks* -Construction Healthcare experience preferred -OSHA 30-Hour preferred. -Knowledge of difference between costs carried in trades versus general conditions -Demonstrated knowledge in construction principles, practices and methods, performance standards, environmental regulations, workplace safety, and union relations* -Effective time management, organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and work under pressure. -Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field a plus. -Basic knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and best practices*
