Tasks

Perform the programming and commissioning of temperature control and building automation systems. LA County, Orange County and Inland Empire -Effectively work with mechanical start up and test & balance personnel. -Maintain positive communications with all Pacific Rim customers and potential customers to facilitate growth and opportunity. -Effectively communicate with all parties involved with projects. -Create and modify graphics necessary for building automation systems. -Interface multiple communication protocols such as LON, BACnet, and Modbus. -Perform start up and commissioning of controls systems and document properly. -Manage time and cost budgets per project. -Program, commission, and troubleshoot Distech Controls and Tridium Software. -Prepare complete, clear, and concise reports and other required Pacific Rim Mechanical paperwork. -Connect to building automation systems via the Internet, modems, and other communication formats. -Work with subcontractors to ensure proper installation procedures. -Install controls systems when required.

What You Bring

About Pacific Rim Mechanical- Truck/Van to be provided but is contingent on approved DMV report -Must have a valid California driver’s license and provide a clean DMV report covering the past (3) years to operate a company vehicle. -Experience with Distech and Tridium is preferred. -Must understand and comply with all safety and OSHA requirements. -Minimum experience of 5+ years with Building Automation Systems. -Must be capable of effectively speaking and writing in the English language. -Must have working knowledge of built-up mechanical systems such as central plants and VAV air systems. -Demonstrates strong knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to learn additional building systems as required. -Diagnose control and mechanical system issues related to control system operation. -Successful completion of technical/vocational schooling or equal industry specific experience. -Must be authorized to legally work in the United States. -Demonstrated understanding of computers, networks, and software. -Understand electrical systems, appropriate codes, and Pacific Rim standards. -Travel and work out of town as required.
