Sr Discipline Estimator, Sentinel Project

Overview

Develops and presents detailed cost estimates and risk analysis for GBSD missile program.

Tasks

-Prepares cost studies and trend estimates. -Participates in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates. -Supports complex order of magnitude (OOM) estimates. -Identifies risk items and assigns risk levels to portions of the project work; identifies measures to mitigate risk. -Evaluates productivity and develops probable construction cost based on crew craft productivity. -Prepares estimate basis and assumption documentation. -Conducts capital cost estimates. -Calculates contingency through manual calculations and/or Monte Carlo analysis. -Performs cash flow and working capital assessments. -Performs and reviews escalation calculations. -Takes a lead role in estimate reviews and presentations. Interfaces with designated management personnel on specific sections of estimate presentations.

What You Bring

-Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience -Thorough understanding of cost index and escalation projection sources. -Advanced knowledge of EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures. -Skilled in oral and written communications, including presentation skills and ability to address a group of supervisors. -US Citizenship required by contract. -Advanced knowledge of construction methods and techniques in area of specialization and have a general understanding of other disciplines. Familiar with engineering and construction codes and standards. -Proficient in Microsoft software applications currently being used by Bechtel (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in estimating applications used for discipline estimates and knowledgeable of at least one general estimating system currently being used by Bechtel (ProPricer, EPIC, BETK, HCSS, CostWorks etc.).
