The Role

Overview

Supervise regional waste operations, ensure health & safety, manage staff and resources.

Tasks

-Ensure that all records on sites are updated (training records, risk assessments etc) and kept in accordance with Policies and Procedures & legislation. -Managing performance of the site in relation to contract standards agreed with customers -Responsibility for maintaining H&S standards on site -To provide a client focused service that supports the changing needs of our customers and the market. -Ensure that all plant and equipment is operated at all times to protect the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors to the site. -Operation and Maintenance of Mobile/Fixed Plant -Ensure planned and preventative maintenance is undertaken on all plant and equipment -Maintain budgetary control over operations -Order equipment and resources as necessary for operations -Training of staff i.e. Manual Handling, Safety DVD, Diversity, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments etc. -To supervise operations in the region. -Provide COTC cover for site operations -Lead and develop a team to ensure operational best practice is adopted and adhered to. -Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and commercial standards -Deal with complaints relating to transfer or recycling operations within applicable timescales -To ensure efficient deployment of staff and resources.

What You Bring

-Experience of working within the waste industry -COTC Level 4 Hazardous waste (transfer) -Computer literate -Experience of working in a supervisory position -PPE provided -IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)

Benefits

-£32,875 per annum (37.5 hours) + £35,080 per annum (40 hours)
