Overview

Tasks

-Maintain a red line set of plans and specifications reflecting all the changes made during construction. -Monitor the status of erosion control devices on a weekly basis, and after every major rainfall event. -Verify that the contractor’s red line drawings are current -Track quantities of work performed as well as labor, equipment, and materials used onsite. -Prepare a database of all photographs taken during construction with the date, subject matter, and photo number/file name -Prepare a daily field report documenting the status of the work, daily activities, manpower, equipment, and other critical information requested by the Construction Manager or Owner -Facilitate, attend, and observe 3rd party material testing as required -Review all civil, architectural and mechanical plans and specifications to confirm that the project scope is thoroughly understood -Attend construction progress and coordination meetings -Take photographs and videos of pre-construction conditions and major construction activities -Notify Sr. Construction Manager of potential construction problems as they are identified -Inspect active construction work against the contract documents to verify compliance, or identify any deviation from approved plans, then elevate to the Sr. Construction Manager -Identify non-compliant/deficient work, elevate to the Sr. Construction Manager and track the nonconforming work through resolution -Review approved shop drawings, RFI responses, and executed change documents to maintain a current understanding of project scope, intent, etc

What You Bring

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Prefer water/wastewater utility experience, but will consider those with experience from other sectors. -This role will require extended periods of time spent in the field and the ability to commute daily to field site/office of current assignment -Proficiency in the use of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer software required to generate construction progress reports. -Experience installing or inspecting large diameter force main installations. -Demonstrated highly effective written skills, timely documentation of daily activities and reporting of site issues. -Keen eye for quality and safety. -The ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and to react to change in a fast-paced environment. -Ability and high degree of proficiency communicating with multiple stakeholders, multiple sites, and subcontractors routinely -Attention to detail and disciplined time management skills -Minimum of 15 years of experience inspecting civil and MEP trades for heavy civil infrastructure, structural and building projects -Certifications through ICC, ACI, or AWS other Special Inspection areas.
