Site Quality Control Inspector

Overview

Ensures construction welds and fabrications meet ASME, ISO, and CWB standards.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Examines work to determine conformance with specifications and welding requirements. -May perform non-destructive testing on piping and BPV built to ASME/ANSI codes. -Ensures compliance with code standards and requirements -Maintains inspection and calibrations records. -Monitors currency of welder qualification records and certifications. -Verifies and records dimensions of fabrications using various inspection tools. -Interprets specifications, blueprints/drawings and job orders for workers. -Compiles, analyzes and presents history dockets, data files & data reports (i.e. U1A forms, piping data reports, partial data reports). -Performs visual, dimensional and weld inspections. -Prepares inspection test plans for pressure vessels. -Presents and expedites solutions to construction/installation problems and testing procedures. -Coordinates activities for construction and installation to various Codes. -Establishes procedures for testing welding of BPV and piping to code requirements. -Completion of weld and dimensional inspections.

What You Bring

-Adept in the various Q.A./Q.C. codes. -Self-starter with demonstrated initiative. -Quality minded and detail oriented. -Excellent Communicator (both written & verbal). -Completion of a college level diploma in Quality, Engineering or C.E.T is preferred. -Experience working within a construction environment -Demonstrated ability to perform inspection techniques. -Experience in leading inspections and construction operations is required. -Solid experience with the development of ITP (Inspection and Test Plans). -Knowledgeable of, and experience working with ASME (Sec I,V,VIII,IX), ISO 9001 and CWB Codes/Standards -CWB certification. -Adherence to 100% compliance to required codes.
