Overview

Conduct field surveys of historic properties and assist in documentation for NRHP.

Tasks

-Documenting and photographing buildings, structures, and other historic properties. -Preparing appropriate sections of cultural resources reports describing the survey and analysis of above-ground historic properties. -Preparation of state specific forms. -Planning, developing, and performing surveys of above-ground historic properties.

What You Bring

-Recent graduate to 2 years of relevant experience in survey and evaluation of historic architectural resources. -Complying with corporate HSE. -Comfortable with talking to members of the public. -B.A. in architectural history, historic preservation, or related field; MS preferred. -Ability to work weekends and over 40 hours per week, when needed. -Experience with photo documentation of structures. -Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time. -Knowledge of architectural styles and materials. -Periodic drug and alcohol testing required. -Understanding of visual APE and how it is refined based on the project, and permitting standards. -Ability to travel frequently and on short notice. -Ability to follow instructions and work independently, and take initiative to meet project deadlines.
