Tasks

-Responsible for management of multi-disciplinary designs and/or technical design reviews. -Provides Architects with clear and consistent direction with regard to goals and objectives, standards, site, schedule, and budget for each project -Monitors project planning and design status to report findings, recommendations, and updates -Establishes and follows a process to identify and select the architectural firm best suited for each project based on firms qualifications and ability to meet performance standards. -Managing and coordinating design submissions from contractors and designers -Quality management and compliance with design procedures -Monitoring and reporting on program and cost control -Design management for infrastructure and or building projects -Coordination of different design disciplines -Manages multiple projects, including engineering repair and critical repair, through interaction with Architects, consultants, and client personnel to ensure timely completion of these projects -Preparation of Scope of Works and Requests for Proposals -Establishes and follows an effective and efficient design review process to ensure that the design meets the overall goals and objectives for each project -Technical assessment of tenders and proposals -Coordinating design consultants and contractor submissions. -Reviews design changes to ensure project remains within budget -Undertake detailed technical reviews from concept through detailed design -Documentation management using appropriate software and systems -Oversees building design process to ensure compliance with client standards and guidelines for the District by working with design professionals and various District administrators to ensure that new and modernized structures meet both educational and building standards requirements

What You Bring

-Five years of this experience in design, planning and construction of educational facilities or public agencies -Ability to work independently with good technical knowledge. -DBIA Certified -A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers -Project management and commercial experience. -CCM certification -BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
