What You Bring

-The ability to travel and stay away from home during work experience activities. -Completion (or near completion) of Year 10 studies. -Commitment to attend and complete the 5-week program schedule. -Exposure to real-world electrical work environments at our depots across NSW and ACT.

This is your chance to explore the industry before committing to a full apprenticeship – and at the end of the program, a select number of dedicated individuals will be invited to apply for an ongoing apprenticeship with Transgrid. This 5-week program is designed to give you a real taste of life as a Transmission Line Worker or Substation Electrician. You’ll train alongside highly skilled technicians, gain hands-on experience with live work crews, and take part in nationally recognised training that provides credits towards future electrical supply industry (ESI) qualifications.
