SIC Shipping and Receiving Supervisor/FT (GE WILM)

Supervise shipping/receiving, manage inventory, ensure safety, coordinate with GE.

Tasks

-Audit shipping operations to ensure personnel are following safety and operations procedures properly and effectively. -Work directly with GE Shipping Managers to prioritize weekly parts schedule -Effectively manage shipping personnel to maximize productivity and efficiency. -Coordinate and supervise activities of workers to effectively and efficiently manage Shipping and Receiving, Material Handling, and Inventory Control. -Analyze and resolve work problems. -Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. -Maintain accurate employee time records and input daily as required. -Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. -Lead or facilitate weekly Toolbox Safety Meetings with crew. -Complete all Safety, Supervisor, and general job training as required by SIC. -Perform frequent safety inspections of work areas, TSP’s, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.
