-Analyze mechanical systems for potential improvements and redesigns. -Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, researching emerging trends in the construction industry, and studying product design. -Compile discipline-specific man-hour estimates and Total Installed Cost estimates based on client provided project scope. Manage and forecast man-hour requirements and schedules associated with discipline-specific project scope. -Develop, design, and implement mechanical systems for commercial construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. -Troubleshoot and solve problems related to mechanical design. -Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team. -Collaborate with a team of architects, engineers, and other professionals on project planning and implementation. -Develop conceptual and detailed engineering design packages, including drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates. -Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to create detailed 2D or 3D designs. -Conduct site inspections to ensure the mechanical systems are implemented correctly and efficiently. -Ensure all mechanical designs meet the requirements of the project and comply with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
-Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes. -In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industry regulations. -Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, required. -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. -Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus. -Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. -The applicant should be able to perform a building HVAC load analysis. -Strong communication and team collaboration skills. -Have a minimum 6 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial buildings. -Proficiency in Revit required -Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and piping system design.
