Tasks

-Conducts SWPPP inspections, oversee contracted SWPPP inspectors or environmental monitors, and conducts environmental inspections at construction projects. -Develops or oversee the development of SWPPPs. -Review Project scope and determine applicable permits. This is inclusive of municipal building permits, variances, special use permits, agency stream, wetlands, PSC Article VII or Part 102, CT -Represents the company at public or regulatory meetings. -Escalates issues when necessary. -Participates in project teams and participates in regular program/project planning, execution, and delivery team meetings. -Manages progress against plans, performs risk assessments, and takes action to mitigate risks. -Verifies project adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements. -Manages or oversee implementation and inspection of wildlife, agriculture or wetland mitigation/management plans, and other regulatory requirements of permits which extend beyond construction phase of project. -Develop or coordinate the development of the required environmental permits. -Reviews and comments on proposed laws and regulations as they apply to company operations.

What You Bring

-PMP Preferred -Experienced in the drafting, editing and interpreting studies for the development, submission, and acquisition of certificates to build or other regulatory filings. -Siting Counsel, Army Corps, Natural Heritage or SHPO consultation, coastal zone development, DOT, FAA, etc. -Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, and OSG. -MBA Preferred -Experience working in team environment to site facilities in the energy sector minimizing environmental, visual and customer impacts considering the companies and projects business requirements. -B.S. Environment Engineering or related field -PE Preferred -5-7 years of experience obtaining Environmental Regulatory Permits with state, federal and municipal agencies to achieve permits to meet project goals and execution schedules.
