- Integration of technology in transit (real-time data, fare systems, ITS).
- Mentor and guide junior planners and interdisciplinary teams on multimodal and transit planning practices.
- Coordinate NEPA and PD&E processes for transit capital projects, including environmental and socioeconomic impact analyses.
- Prepare and review grant applications, including FTA Small Starts/New Starts and other federal funding programs.
- Manage public engagement and stakeholder coordination activities, ensuring equitable participation.
- Manage transit ridership forecasting and travel demand modeling in coordination with regional partners.
- Conduct route planning, scheduling, and service optimization studies using operational and ridership data.
- Represent the firm/agency at meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Provide project management, including budgets, schedules, task assignments, and quality assurance.
- Lead the development of transit corridor studies, multimodal plans, BRT and rail planning projects.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation, Geography, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Preferred Certifications: AICP, PTP, or PMP.
- Technical Skills: Transit planning tools (TransCAD, Remix, ArcGIS, EMME, Cube, or GTFS data analysis); familiarity with FTA processes; understanding of transit operations, scheduling, and fleet management; strong writing and presentation skills.
- Multimodal corridor and complete streets design.
- Experience: 20+ years of progressive experience in transit planning, multimodal transportation, or systems planning.
- Climate resilience and sustainability in transit planning.
- Equity and accessibility planning (Title VI, ADA, EJ).
