Handles customer payments, account maintenance, and related inquiries for accounts receivable.

Tasks

-Provides back-up coverage, as needed, for the Accounts Receivable Manager -Obtains sales tax exemption certification from customers, as directed -Prepares written communication to customers using PC word processing as directed -Files customer correspondence and accounting documents daily -Authorizes credit overrides on accounts, as appropriate -Processes customer remittances, applies payments, and prepares daily bank deposits -Performs customer account maintenance, as requested by customers or branch personnel -Performs all job duties according to the company’s safety policies and procedures (e.g., -Responds to customer inquiries about accounts and follows through to resolve customer concerns -Reports any damage to product, equipment, or facilities to direct supervisor on the same day that the damage occurs -Reports any theft or rumors of theft to direct supervisor immediately

What You Bring

-1 year of accounts receivable experience is preferred -Successful applicant must be able to work with fellow employees in a fast-paced office environment -Knowledge of accounting software is a plus -proper lifting techniques, etc.)
