  • Build and maintain strong client relationships; support business development and proposal pursuits.
  • Lead QA/QC processes for all trackwork deliverables, maintaining TYLin’s standards of design excellence.
  • Collaborate with structural, civil, systems, and construction disciplines to deliver fully integrated designs.
  • Oversee project delivery as Project Manager, including budgets, schedules, and client coordination.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), stamping drawings and ensuring design integrity, accuracy, and compliance with all standards.
  • Perform and review alignment geometry, crossovers, turnouts, yards, and related civil components.
  • Lead and manage track design for commuter rail, light rail, subway, and freight systems across multiple projects and geographies.
  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and CAD specialists to produce high-quality, coordinated design packages.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
  • Significant, demonstrated experience in rail and transit trackwork design.
  • In-depth knowledge of track geometry, special trackwork, rail operations, rail maintenance, and construction practices.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (California PE preferred, or ability to obtain).
  • Proven success leading major design packages from concept through construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience managing design teams would be a significant advantage.
