Tasks
This position will manage a variety of projects and clients and employees through project management principles to ensure successful completion of work and future working relationships with clients. -Identifies and promotes solutions to any problems which may include budget or schedule. Regularly monitors a project’s progress and keeps client fully informed of any issues, corrections, or adjustments. -Participates in contract negotiations with the client and ensures that all procedures governing the review and approval of contracts are followed before signing. -Follows Project Opening Procedure, PM-3, including the preparation of Job Order Form and Work Plan, if necessary. In conformance with this procedure, the Project Manager will prepare a budget, schedule, and quality management plan. Presents to group manager if necessary. -Reviews proposals for any necessary changes to project team, budget, schedule, or scope of work. Preferably, the Project Manager has prepared the proposal. Matches required work assignments with individual skills of team members and coordinates various disciplines on interrelated work assignments. -Follows Technical Policies/Procedures for quality management of projects. -Initiates billing process and reviews and approves all invoices prior to submittal to client. -Provides technical contribution to project. -Initiates periodic meetings and other forms of communication with project team members, and other professional staff as appropriate, to discuss technical, budgeting, and scheduling issues and to ensure an adequate degree of coordination, as needed between disciplines. Attends and participates in client meetings, making presentations on the status of the project. -Meets with prospective clients to discuss potential engineering work. -Takes the lead in the collection of delinquent accounts. -Maintains close communication and cooperation with senior management concerning project staffing, budgets and schedules. Communicates capability and performance of project team members. -Advises Chief Financial Officer concerning significant cash requirements of the project such as subcontract or procurement expenses.

What You Bring
-Has shown ability to manage people, budgets, schedules, and clients successfully. -Ability to operate a laptop or PC and/or any other general office equipment -Travels to the job site of assigned projects. Must be able to move about the site in order to observe for client needs and construction progress. -Registered as a licensed professional (desirable, but not mandatory). -Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. (Office with computers/printers and light traffic) -Required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle. -Ability to sit/stand, sometimes for long periods of time. -Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. -Graduate of a four-year college program in engineering, science, or architecture plus six years of experience. -Possesses, in the opinion of senior management, leadership and managerial skills to allow the successful execution of an entire project including: -Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force. Occasionally, performs medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force (ex. Lifting exhibits, boxes) -Possesses, in the opinion of senior management, a sufficient level of technical knowledge. -Demonstrated marketing ability in the opinion of senior management.
