Tasks
The Commissioning Engineer has responsibility for providing technical expertise and leadership in the planning and implementation of Anova’s propriety C2QA process that incorporates both Construction Quality Assurance and Commissioning activities. In this role the Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for developing C2QA plans for projects and then leading the execution which includes test case development and execution as well as, documentation preparation and submittals. They must have a good working knowledge of construction quality assurance techniques and practices and be able to incorporate these techniques into the C2QA plan. This position will work with Project/Construction Managers, partner firms, contractors, vendors, and owner representatives to develop and execute C2QA plans for new facilities and equipment. -The Commissioning Engineer must be able to create and organize documentation to meet project requirements. This includes the creation and assembly of packages. For larger projects, this work may involve supervising people performing this work. -The Commissioning Engineer must routinely report on the status of C2QA by providing metrics. -As a member of the Anova team they will be expected to contribute to the further development, enhancement, and maturation of the Anova C2QA program. In this role, they will participate in team meetings, share learning from previous projects, and offer ideas to enhance the program. -The Commissioning Engineer must be able to develop a C2QA plan including budgets and estimates. This also includes assurance of project Requirements generation which is critical to Commissioning activities. -The Commissioning Engineer must be able to lead groups of people through the planning, execution, and documentation phases of a project. This includes providing direction, schedule, and oversight of others deliverables and work. They must represent C2QA in project meetings and speak clearly to expectations and requirements. -Leading teams through the Planning, Development, Execution and Summary phases of the commissioning program. -The Engineer must be able to work with clients, contractors, and vendors to determine testing approaches for systems and equipment. This work can be conducted on-site or at a factory before shipment depending on the strategy deployed.

What You Bring
-Individuals must have work experience or knowledge in project delivery, manufacturing, or construction-related fields. They must have a basic understanding of the Project Delivery Process. -Experience participating in, conducting, or leading start-up activities in manufacturing or general construction projects -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture required. The most effective engineering degrees are mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical -Individuals must be capable of reading and understanding drawings and specifications. They should be able to ask meaningful clarifying questions and challenges regarding design aspects of a project and should have the ability to write technically and be highly proficient in grammar. -Ability to work as a member of a team as well as work individually. Project sizes and scope will cause projects to be approached differently, sometimes will be part of a team and other times may be the only individuals working on commissioning. -Strong attention to detail. Ability to dive into specifics -Individuals must understand, respect, and follow the process. This includes a disciplined approach. Understanding procedures and working within procedures to create repeatable results. -Three to five years’ experience in commissioning and/or quality -Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Commissioning will require directly challenging another individual’s work while remaining courteous, objective, and professional.
