What You Bring
-Familiarity with development of Contract Drawings, Technical Specifications, Special Provisions, and construction agreements. -Familiarity with FRA or FTA safety and security certification. -Participation in at least one major rail program, with at least one project engineering or interdisciplinary design coordination role. -Successful record of developing and negotiating contracts and contract modifications. -Familiarity with Amtrak is desirable. -Successful record coordinating with municipal and state agencies. -Minimum 12 years or more of rail project experience, including at least 5 years of interdisciplinary coordination. -Successful participation in underground facilities projects, including managing risk. -Successful record delivering multi-disciplinary projects, involving facilities and rail systems, prefer experience with Design-Build or CMAR. -Familiarity with municipal roadway and utility relocation. -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related degree. -Ability to communicate clearly in grammatically correct English, both written and verbal communication. -Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products. -Subject matter expertise in one of the technical disciplines associated with rail infrastructure design. -Familiarity with rail project construction staging in urban areas, including the relationship between third-party and Force Account construction and maintenance of rail operations and vehicular traffic. -Familiarity with rail project services during construction, including testing and commissioning. -Professional Registration. -Successful record coordinating with owner project managers and technical representatives. -Familiarity with Section 106 compliance. -Familiarity with Right of Way acquisition, including relocations. -Proven record of cooperative, collaborative working and management style with staff, partners, and customers. -Familiarity with AREMA, ADA, and NFPA 130 as they relate to rail passenger stations and tunnels. -Familiarity with private utility relocations and coordinating private with public construction.
