Overview
Design and draft electrical schematics, layouts, 3D models for power projects.

Tasks
-Perform calculations to size pull boxes according to NEC requirements. -Takes initiative to meet or exceed the quality and expected outcome requirements of internal and external customers. -Checks and navigates in the 3D models for interferences and constructability. -Identifies changes in the scope of work during a small project and produces design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. -Completes miscellaneous tasks to support project development. -Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity. -Initiates development of personal objectives aligned with those of the organization. -Participates in project meetings as required. -Design duct bank, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding and lighting systems from concept to completion utilizing engineering documents, sketches or vendor data. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Routes electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule -Develops 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills. -Perform layout of electrical equipment in electrical buildings. -Design and draft intermediate electrical drawings. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Perform calculations to check allowable fill in conduits and cable tray systems according to NEC requirements and size pull boxes. -Complies with company standards to produce quality deliverables.

What You Bring
-Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting/Design preferred; minimum GED Diploma with drafting or electrical design training -Ability to work in a growing, adaptive and multi-discipline team environment -Ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight -Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment. -Regular, reliable attendance -Properly size cables and raceways. -Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language -Experience utilizing 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or SP3D and have knowledge of the latest computer operating systems. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Little to no supervision required to apply standard correctly to design. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Seeks feedback and uses it effectively. -At least 4 years’ experience in Design and/or Drafting disciplines with a background in electrical design
