Senior CNC Machine Operator

Overview

Set up, run and maintain XYZ CNC machines, inspect parts and support production

Tasks

-Maintain production records and ensure compliance with ISO standards -Set up and operate XYZ CNC machines to produce components to tight tolerances -Perform routine maintenance and report machine faults -Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files -Support junior operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives -Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment -Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams

What You Bring

-Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills -Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection tools -DSE Eye Tests -Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/FANUC/Siemens) -Ability to work independently and manage shift priorities -Experience operating XYZ CNC Lathe. (XYZ Milling advantageous) -Apprenticeship in engineering (preferred but not essential) -Forklift or overhead crane licence (desirable) -NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining -Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends)
