  • Assist technical staff in field activities including site inspections, shop inspections, monitoring and other fieldwork
  • Perform preliminary and detailed civil /structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
  • Participate on multidisciplinary teams in a virtual team environment as well as in an office environment.
  • Assist in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, and completing progress reports.
  • Inspect construction for compliance with specifications; review and approve drawings; conduct field inspections; review progress versus schedule
  • Assist with preparation of budgets and scopes of work.
  • Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies. "
  • Organize, draft and coordinate production of various reports to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with focus on Structural engineering, Master’s degree with emphasis in structural engineering preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in the design and implementation of large infrastructure.
  • Ability to prepare complete, concise, and organized engineering calculations and analyses related to medium to large concrete/hydraulic structures associated with dams, tunnels and hydroelectric facilities.
  • Preferred Software Experience:
  • Will be based out of the Pasadena/Los Angeles area but requires willingness to work in a virtual team across offices and occasional project travel.
  • Strong willingness to be a part of a large global engineering company, and to work with teams in other offices around the world.
  • The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and excellent computer skills.
  • PE preferred or ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • structural analysis and design of hydraulic structures and familiarity with the relevant codes and guidelines.
  • The position also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, report preparation, and the ability to work with engineering staff at all levels.
  • Experience with excel and/or MATHCAD programs.
