Supervise night shift traffic control and safety for large civil projects in Farmers Branch, TX.

Tasks

-Provide timely response to technical questions of field operations -Coordinate and supervise the Field Office Manager to ensure accurate records and reporting. -Supervise and coordinate activities of traffic control technicians and traffic control specialists -Assist in establishing and administering traffic maintenance policies and standards -Facilitate and integrate traffic maintenance activities -Supervise self-performed labor, material, and equipment cost management to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses. -Ensure jobsite safety by complying with company policies, OSHA standards, and E.E.O. regulations, including conducting regular safety meetings -Guarantee high-quality workmanship through inspections of field construction work in progress and adherence to approved plans and specifications -Act as a liaison between owners, architects, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and collaboration. -Perform inspections, allocate resources, and monitor the progress of equipment and materials. -Plans, organizes and supervises all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations

What You Bring

-Swing shift (12:00 PM to 12:00 AM) -Experience with heavy highway maintenance of traffic; major main lane traffic switches, portable concrete barrier placement, striping, and lane closures -Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and consistently meet deadlines -Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Bridge & Road is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. -10+ years of experience in large heavy civil projects, including TxDOT or highway construction -Availability for on-call work as required -Strong commitment to jobsite safety with a proven record of demonstrating safe work practices -Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail -Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures -TEEX Work Zone Traffic Control experience -Flexibility to work varying shifts, including: -Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is an advantage -Night shift (6:00 PM to 5:00 AM)
