Overview

Assist PM in managing industrial mechanical construction projects from docs to scheduling

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Create and distribute RFI's for clarification of project specifics -Collect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment submittals as required -Work closely with Superintendents on their requests for resources, materials, equipment, etc. -Contractually and collaboratively manage subcontractors and their related performance -Ensure jobsite remains clean and orderly -Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requested -Manage safety, quality, and productivity of the project -Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule -Assist the PM in preparing the construction budget -Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation -Work with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information -Collaboratively help price, negotiate, and formalize all changes in project scope -Actively participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure important job information is gathered before proceeding into construction phase

What You Bring

-Ability to multitask and effectively manage time with a strong understanding of priorities in each phase of construction -High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions -Understanding of construction management processes -Knowledge of MS Office Suite -Highly organized -Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills -Familiarity with construction and project management software programs -OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR Training -Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs -Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment -Ability to work collaboratively and plan ahead -Knowledge of construction safety and quality standards -PMP, CCM, or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset -Previous professional experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field -Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
