The Role

Overview

Drive vehicle transporting residents and assist wheelchair passengers.

Tasks

-Drives vehicle from community area to destination according to assigned schedule. -Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories. -Operates cell phone to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. -Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle. -Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.

What You Bring

-Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsements is required. -Meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including passenger’s endorsements. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Current First-Aid and CPR certification required. -Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
