Tasks

Provide day-to-day support to the procurement function to ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective operations. Coordinate enquiries, orders, supplier data, and reporting, while building capability for a long-term career in procurement. -Attend site and design team meetings; capture actions and follow-ups. -Raise purchase orders in SAGE and maintain accurate PO trackers. -Adhere to company policies, procedures, and agreed performance objectives; undertake other reasonable duties as needed. -Manage and update supplier catalogues within SAGE. -Proactively alert senior management to any issues that could impact business operations. -Produce scheme-specific profit/loss reports and assist with cost tracking. -Issue material enquiries and collate supplier quotations. -Investigate and resolve invoice disputes with Procurement/Finance/Suppliers. -Maintain orderly documentation and version control across projects. -Analyse quotes for value, compliance, and lead times; highlight risks and savings opportunities. -Handle site and supplier queries promptly; escalate where required.

What You Bring

This role is ideal for someone eager to develop in procurement, with training and support provided where experience is still building. -Experience using SAGE (ideally SAGE 200) to place orders and maintain records (desirable). -Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and accuracy. -Problem-solving mindset with sound commercial awareness. -CIPS Level 4 (or working towards). -Demonstrated experience improving trackers, catalogues, or PO processes. -Knowledge of basic cost reporting and variance commentary. -Integrity, reliability, and commitment to deadlines. -Clear, professional written and verbal communication. -Able to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads across multiple tasks. -Familiarity with Viewpoint for Projects / 4Projects (desirable). -Prior experience in a procurement function—construction preferred (desirable, not essential). -Construction sector procurement exposure (materials, subcontractors, invoice/query workflows). -Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with confident spreadsheet capability. -Collaborative, service-oriented approach with strong stakeholder skills.
