The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair PATH facility operations, ensuring safety and support for clients.

Tasks

-Regularly check the functionality of safety systems (such as fire alarm). -Report work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor. -Inspect building at beginning and end of shifts for any required attention. -Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (such as ventilation, hot water). -Conduct regular maintenance of PATH facilities. -Perform touch up, finish painting and graffiti removal. -Clean rooms, cubicles, stairwells, windows, lavatories, showers, restrooms, etc. -Prepare and keep all maintenance records. -Perform minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. -Provide back-up support for other tasks within the Program. -Use brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors as needed/directed. -Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Analyze and evaluate information and situations, identify key issues, consider alternatives, and make logical decisions based on sound reasoning that will achieve the desired outcome.

What You Bring

-A valid driver’s license -Creativity and Initiative: Take action and make decisions without being prompted, demonstrating a proactive approach to work and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Think outside the box, generating innovative solutions to problems or challenges. -Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail: Gather and interpret data, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to inform decision-making. Ability to consistently produce high-quality work, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. -One (1) year of experience in a related field -Have reliable transportation -Communication: Convey information clearly and effectively (both verbally and in writing) to individuals and groups in a manner that informs, engages and maintains their attention. -Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: -Spanish language proficiency (bilingual or ability to effectively read, write, and speak) in addition to the primary language used in the workplace (English). -Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training -Collaboration and Teamwork: Work effectively with others, seeking out and building positive working relationships with colleagues, participants, and stakeholders. Work effectively with others, contributing to team goals and recognizing the strengths and contributions of others. -Two (2) years’ experience working in a relevant field. -Have employment eligibility verification -Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties -Drug Test
