  • Evaluate specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
  • Review critical path logic networks, near critical path activities, and bar charts.
  • Review, manage, and maintain construction phase functions such as, but not limited to: project schedules, project budgets, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, various contractor-provided certifications and disadvantaged business enterprises
  • Develop an oversight budget and staffing plan for the construction oversight activities
  • Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
  • Evaluate Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and Time Extension Requests.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders and subconsultants to engage in planning and execution of oversight procedures, interpreting specifications, and executing correspondence with the contractor
  • Facilitate the review and analysis of project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar program.
  • Leads regularly scheduled Project Control Meetings with the contractor and owner
  • Review and interpret baseline and execution schedules, including monthly updates.
  • Verifies construction activities within federal, state, and local rules and regulations
  • Assist with/perform preconstruction activities, estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts
  • Coordinate with contractors to resolve schedule maintenance issues
  • Assembles members of organizations (supervisory, clerical, engineering, technical, field, and other workers) during projects
  • Oversee construction acceptance procedures and construction progress along with approving contractor invoices
  • Communicate schedule status and approval recommendation to project management and clients.
  • Conduct critical path and float analysis, generating corresponding reports.
  • Oversees work in progress to ensure that workmanship, conforms with specifications and plans, adherence to schedule
  • Verify and prepare appropriate project documentation including correspondence with the contractor and owner

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software.

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Occasional to moderate travel may be required
  • Knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • 8+ years of construction management or project management experience or other related experience within construction projects
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and management principles
