Tasks

-Simultaneously Leads one or more estimate/budget/pursuit and in addition has capacity be support others on estimating pursuits -Prepare subcontractors bid list -Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing -Review plans and specifications -Draft the first pass at General Conditions and General Requirements -Supports post-bid buyouts (as applicable) -Prepares customized subcontracting bidders list(s) to the correct type of job -Supports and trains estimating staff (as applicable) -Review Subcontractor prequalification on prospective trade partners -Builds consensus on applied fee strategy -Generates scope sheets for all CSI divisions -Can review, prepare, and review others’ quantity take-offs -Assist jobsite staff with estimating support -Is a mentor to one or more estimating staff -Set-up and review General Conditions and General Requirements with the Operations team -Prepare conceptual estimates -Sets up and conducts GO / NO GO for Swinerton self-perform trades -Follows bid schedule and can realign deliverable dates with minimal impact, through the use and management of the Estimate Checklist -Train and develop Intern and Interim Project Engineers -Leads and/or participates in bid day compilation

What You Bring

-Minimum 3 years estimating or related experience -Maintains great relationship with trade partners -Can generate high level VE/VM log with accuracy -Working knowledge of current construction costs and principles -Can quickly and accurately diagnose error, scope, exclusions in subcontractor estimates -Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and BIM Models. -Ability to make accurate judgements and calculate associated risks -Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Ability to use all estimating software such Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or other programs to complete daily duties
