The Role

Overview

Manage spend analysis, RFPs, negotiations, and supplier contracts to optimize costs.

Tasks

-Analyzes all cost and process aspects of assigned spend. -Conducts major spend analysis by supplier, commodity, or service. -Performs trend analysis and identifies and implements process improvements. -Analyzes supplier proposals, performs legal and insurance reviews, and performs net present value analysis. -Identifies potential suppliers. -Performs trend analysis, and identifies and implements process improvements. -Identifies and obtains cost improvements for purchased materials and services from supplier, through negotiation and continuous management. -May lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies. -Negotiates prices, delivery, insurance, performance, penalties, issue resolution, escalation, terms and conditions, and intellectual property agreements. -Develops and issues requests for proposal with complex pricing tables. -Conducts major spend analysis by supplier, commodity, or service. Identifies potential suppliers. -Develops and administers measurement tools on contract basis.

What You Bring

-Effective human relations skills. -Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. -Working knowledge of accounting principles. -Knowledge of MRP, ERP, and purchasing and logistics systems and processes. -Working knowledge of business and contract law. -Negociation skills. -Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to customer needs. -Experience with SAP. preferred. -Value and cost analysis skills. -Working knowledge of company systems, processes, and/or interfaces. -Ability to apply analytical abilities to diverse issues. -Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis. -Working knowledge of procurement practices, procedures, and policies. -Ability to use sound business judgment. -General experience preferred in procuring general services to include but not limited to (telecommunication drilling, engineering, facilities, transportation, fleet, construction, and vegetation management services). -Computer proficiency. -Operational knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning. -Demonstrated effective influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills. -Work management skills. -Forecasting and trend analysis skills. -Analytical skills. -Project management skills. -Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
