Tasks

-Make recommendations for process improvements within both the business and IT organizations. -Provide leadership in utilization of Information Technology within Valmont as a trusted advisor to the organization. -Review documentation and conduct training of end users/stakeholders. -Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices to protect company data and ensure compliance. -Actively engage in all aspects of the SDLC process. -Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document functional business requirements for application projects and enhancements. -Perform support activities based on escalation from the support team. -Mentor other functional analyst team members. -Review and validate testing plans and conduct functional user testing to ensure delivered solutions meet functional business requirements. -Collaborate with technical team to develop overall solutions and technical design to address functional requirements. -Coordinate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders. -Lead the development of high-level estimations of effort/cost associated with application projects and enhancements. -Lead small to moderate, cross functional projects with complex and challenging business problems that can have a broad organizational impact and provide opportunities for significant competitive advantage. -Continuously monitor industry trends, standards, and technologies with the goal of recommending and applying new technologies as they emerge. -Write and review supporting documentation for the software, such as release notes, help documentation, articles, and features.

What You Bring

-Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English. -Understanding of overall enterprise business systems architecture, functionality, and usage. -Preferred Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience. -Proven analytical and evaluative abilities. -Demonstrated effectiveness in problem solving situations, good planning, and organizational skills. -Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. -Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite products. -Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. -Detailed exposure to QAD Standard Edition and QAD Enterprise Edition. -Understanding of project management principles. -Strong leadership skills. -Ability to conduct and direct research into enterprise business systems application functionality and products to deploy as required. -Experience working with tools such as Azure Dev Ops or JIRA. -Exposure to QAD Adaptive Cloud would be highly beneficial. -Ability to lead a project, such as a QAD upgrade, or deployment of a new module. -High level of initiative and self-motivation -Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. -This role requires up to 25% travel (internationally/domestically), including overnight stays. -Understanding of manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures. -A high level of functional and technical experience specifically with the QAD ERP. -A detailed understanding of QAD EE financials. -Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.

-Flexible schedule, with the expectation to have the ability to report into the office as needed; a working schedule that provides some overlap with core US-based team hours between 7 am and 5 pm CST is needed.
