Overview
Lead development of engineering justifications and manage UM asset investment submissions.

Tasks
-Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory engagement and historical oversight. -Report on project progress, pace, and risk to the UM Programme Manager and other stakeholders or wider stakeholders -Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple teams, ensuring effective collaboration. -Develop compelling narratives for funding requests, applying holistic analysis across cost, benefit, and engineering principles. -Coordinate the development of Engineering Justification Papers (EJPs) to secure capital asset investment. -Coordinate the lifecycle of UM products from development to successful handover, holding teams accountable. -Contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and standard operating procedures. -Project manage UM submissions, defining roles, mapping timelines, and ensuring governance.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of asset management, risk quantification, and investment/business case development (e.g. Cost Benefit Analysis, Engineering Justification). -Strategic thinker with the ability to see the ‘big picture’ and support efficient investment decisions. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to justify decisions and engage stakeholders. -Experience with gas transmission plant and equipment. -Strong collaborator, skilled at building relationships and working across disciplines. -Strong commercial acumen ensuring projects pass the cost benefit analysis test. -Experience in whole life cost analysis and programme management. -Background in pipeline engineering or control systems is advantageous.
